Who we are?

Village Vision Care is an organization whose formation was proposed by the people of greater Masaka region. It is a socio-economic grouping that brings people of the same economic and social setting; share the same core values but living individually.

Who we are?

Village Vision Care (VVC) was founded to serve the people of Uganda, bringing together individuals who share common values and a vision for community empowerment.

VVC is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting vulnerable children, youth, young mothers, persons with disabilities, and the elderly without relatives to care for them.
Our Vision
A transformed and empowered community where vulnerable children, youth, women, persons with disabilities, and the elderly live with dignity, opportunity, and sustainable livelihoods.
Our Mission
To uplift disadvantaged communities in Uganda through education, health support, livelihood skills, environmental stewardship, and compassionate care, enabling vulnerable people to break the cycle of poverty and build a hopeful future.

Our Goal

To see vulnerable youth and young mothers equipped with practical skills, productively employed, and earning sustainable incomes, creating a multiplier effect as they uplift others by sharing skills and mentoring their communities.

Founder’s Story
A Calling to Serve

Village Vision Care was founded by Ronnie Remmy Mukwaya out of a deep calling to serve vulnerable communities in Uganda.
Ronnie’s journey into this work was inspired by his late sponsor, Glenn Flaten, a Rotarian from Ottawa, Canada, who supported him like a father. Glenn’s compassion, generosity, and commitment to helping others deeply shaped Ronnie’s vision for community service.
In honor of Glenn’s legacy, Ronnie founded Village Vision Care to serve the vulnerable, uplift the forgotten, and bring hope to communities where despair often lingers. Glenn’s kindness continues to inspire the mission of the organization, and his memory remains a guiding light for the work being done.
Glenn is dearly missed, and his life continues to inspire the work of Village Vision Care.

Who We Serve

Education & Child Support

Supporting children from disadvantaged families to access education through school assistance, mentorship, and community support.

Health & WASH

Promoting access to clean water, improved sanitation, hygiene awareness, and basic healthcare support for vulnerable communities.

Livelihoods & Skills Training

Empowering youth and young mothers through skilling in employable trades and vocational training that enables them to build sustainable livelihoods.

Environmental Conservation

Encouraging communities to protect natural resources, plant trees, and adopt practices that strengthen resilience to climate change.

Water and sanitation

We aim at supplying clean water in areas of scarcity and dryness in Uganda.

Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS awareness and support

The core objective of this program is to raise the awareness of community and school-going children about reproductive health and HIV/AIDS. We hope that the rate of spread of HIV/AIDS will reduce through the provision of guidance and counseling services, family planning methods, public awareness campaigns on reproductive and sexual health issues, and other related self-awareness on human health

Physical and Emotional Health

The major objective of this program is to improve the lives of vulnerable groups of people by the provision for basic needs. Vulnerable groups include the following; The elderly, the orphans, school dropouts, street children, people with disabilities, young mothers and the youths. Basic needs provided are; Food, shelter, soap, clothes, beddings, and medication,

Stable Income and Employment

This program is intended to reduce illiteracy, improve self-reliance and create employment opportunities amongst the vulnerable groups from different communities. In this program, identified school-going children are provided with school fees and scholastic materials. The youths, school dropouts and young mothers are trained in different skills and other employable disciplines.
